Agent-Based Modeling

Several agent-based modeling projects where users and other agents interact and create complex behavior. These types of systems can be very difficult to simulate using traditional top-down modeling approaches.

A paper is currently in progress to discuss a project modeling the use and dynamics of web services. This project focused on the effects of users creating chains of services (services calling services) which can lead to unpredictable system-wide behavior. We also used Small World theories to model cataloging schemes for posting and discovery of new services.
